In the thrilling 2017 film “The Fate of The Furious,” not only Dominic Toretto emerges as a hero, but his Plymouth GTX shines as well. This is a familiar occurrence in the Fast & Furious movie series, which has not only become Universal’s top franchise but also ranks as the 6th highest grossing series of all time, amassing over 5 billion in sales. The Plymouth GTX made its debut in 1967 as a model derived from the Satellite and continued until 1971. In 1971, it offered three engine options, including the powerful 440 “Six-Pack” that unleashed 385 horsepower. It boasted enhancements such as a special camshaft, reinforced valves, and large-port cylinder heads. Unfortunately, only 3,000 GTXs were produced in 1971.
