The Breda Ba-65 is a single-seat, single-engine ground attack aircraft developed by the Italian company Breda, making its first flight in 1935. It achieved military success in the Italian Air Force’s Aviazione Legionaria, which was dispatched to Spain starting in 1937, and was subsequently used in the Mediterranean and Middle East theaters in the early stages of World War II. The Ba-65 was the only ground attack aircraft of the Italian Air Force during the war, and was highly regarded and feared by the British Army during the North African campaign.
