A nice little model of a very unique aircraft – the CAM-23 (or SAM-23) light-attack aircraft. The unusual nose skid was for terrain following – it was apparently connected to the elevator and allowed the pilot to fly at a constant height over the ground. Fortunately for Soviet attack pilots, the design did not get too far before being discarded.
