This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
A reissue of sorts–Italeri has combined the main parts from their Do217N kit with the BMW engine nacelles from their Do217K kit to give us a Do217J. Features raised panel lines and a basic cockpit interior, but not much is visible through the framed canopy anyway. Decals are provided for four interesting options: a green and gray camoflaged J-2 of NJG4, a more intricately camoflaged J-2 still bearing the factory codes of KD+MZ, a light-colored J-2 KI+LV of II/NJG101 in Hungary, 1944, and an all-black J-1 “235-4” operated by 235a Squadriglia, 41 Stormo, 60 Gruppo Italian Air Force.
