This kit from Sword is a completely new mold! Reggiane installed the German-made Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine on the Re.2000 aircraft to improve its performance, resulting in the Re.2001. The prototype flew for the first time in July 1940, but the effect of the engine change was disappointing. However, it was officially adopted in 1941 because the Air Force wanted fighter aircraft to participate in World War II.
