This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Though handled by Trumpeter’s importer here in Japan, this is definitely not a Trumpeter kit. The box brand is “Mini Hobby Models.” A 1/48 Hind is something we’ve been waiting for for a long time, but this kit certainly leaves room for one of the majors to step up to the plate (anybody over at Hasegawa listening?). Packed in an oddball, nearly square, thin box, the detail and softness of the parts in this offering are reminiscent of 1960s 1/32 aircraft kits from Revell. Yes, it looks like a Hind, if you don’t nitpick the little stuff.
