This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
A new-tool “easy assembly kit” of the P-51D, in 1/48 scale from Hobby Boss. This is a glue kit, not a snap-fit kit, however the parts count has been kept to a minimum (only 42 pieces) and the cockpit and landing gear detail is fairly basic – although all the really crucial bits are there! Uses poly caps to hold the propeller and wheels in place while allowing them to rotate. A good kit for a younger modeler. Includes decals for two colorful aircraft: “Missouri Armada” of the 362nd FS USAAF and “Dooleybird” of 19 Squadron RAF.
