The 303rd Squadron is located in Komatsu Air Force Bace in Ishikawa, and is on duty for interception on the side of Japan facing the Japan Sea. Originally organized as an F-4EJ squadron in 1976, then altered to an F-15J squadron in 1987, the “Fighting Dragon” is based on a legendary dragon living in Hakusan near the air base. In the 2018 Air Show in Komatsu, the F-15 acquired much attention when it appeared with these special markings, featuring painted dragon scales on its nose and tail.
Will be approximately 26cm long when completed.
