This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The Tupolev T-22KD Blinder supersonic bomber was the first large-scale supersonic bomber in the Soviet Union, and it’s pretty big even in 1/72 scale! There were some difficulties in its development, but it made its maiden flight in 1959 at the Central Aircraft Research Institute. Initially it did not have missile management capabilities, but from the Tu-22K model and onwards, it gained operational ability for the large-scale Kh-22 missile. The Tu-22KD type is an extended crusing range type equipped with an air refueling unit.
