Introduced in the 1950s, the Jet Provost quickly became the RAF’s top basic jet trainer. The T3 model was introduced in 1959, and boasted an updated engine and improved canopy design, offering a better view to the pilot and pupil. The T4 model was visually identical to the T3, but featured a more powerful engine. Both variants served with a wide variety of RAF squadrons and training colleges.
