Hobby Boss follows up their well-received 1/72 scale F9F-2 with this kit of the -2P reconnaissance version. Includes new fuselage halves and clear parts to properly represent the new nose and camera windows of the -2P. Also includes all the weapons and pylons of the -2 kit, none of which should be needed as -2Ps were not interested in carrying extra weight or drag which would decrease their speed! With markings for “72” of VC-61 aboard the USS Essex in 1951 and “155/LIFE” of VC-61 aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard “Bonnie Dick”, also in 1951. For marking details please see box image above.
