Description

This is an injection-plastic airliner model kit.

An all-new, and very big, kit of the latest super-jumbo. Construction is a little unconventional, as the fuselage is divided into five sections lengthwise. Doubtless this is due to a need to keep the molds and box down to reasonable dimensions! Plenty of bulkheads are included for strength, though, so there should be no problems there. A pass-through wing spar is included, which will add strength and assure proper alignment. A full flight deck is included, as well as flooring sections for inside the boarding and cargo doors, as all the doors can be posed open! The landing gear looks like it builds up into quite detailed assemblies, and can either be attached or left off with the doors closed up for an “in-flight” model. The engines are also multi-part assemblies and should look quite convincing when done. Decals are for the prototype, and a display stand is included to pose the aircraft “flying.” Instructions are even provided for suspending the model from the ceiling, although I would not want to be underneath this monster if it ever came down! Assembled dimensions are given as 582mm long (23 inches) with a 638mm wingspan (25 inches).
