This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Limited release of this kit of the AU-1 Corsair. This variant was specially produced for the US Marine Corps use as a close air support aircraft in the Korean War. Many modifications to the original Corsair design were done such as armoring the engine, fuel tanks and cockpit. The pylons were beefed up to give a maximum load-out of 5,000 pounds of ordinance.
Hasegawa has done yet another great job with this kit. All the quality and accuracy we expect from them. Full ordinance of 10 air-to-ground rockets plus bombs and fuel tanks complete the load. Markings are for two aircraft – the first from the AES-12 (Aircraft Engineering Squadron) at MCAS Quantico (see box art). The second is from VMA-212 in Korea. About 133 parts.
