Two prototypes of this version of the Pfeil were built, and one was captured by the Allies for study. “Heavily armed” indeed! Two 20mms in the nose, and a whopping three 30mm cannons, one in the spinner and one in each wing. They never saw combat, but firepower like that could have made a mess of any Allied bomber that strayed into their sights. Larger nose gear and bulletproof cockpit glass were other changes from the A-0/A-1.
There’s no need really to comment on this kit — it’s as good as you’d expect it to be. The wings have been retooled from the earlier release to include the big 30mm gun fairings.
