Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

The Dragon Fw190 is generally regarded as the most accurate Wurger available out-of-the-box, even if it is a bit more work than some other kits. But, with proper care and attention to fit and alignment, this kit will build up into an extremely realistic model. While this release has done away with the etched detail parts common in previous releases, this is in my opinion a change for the better. The replacement styrene instrument panels are much more three-dimensional than was possible with the etched metal parts, and with careful painting will look very nice. This release says “A-8” on the box, however the wide propeller blades and 14-blade cooling fan are also included for those interested in building an A-9. Also included are two 500kg bombs and the large underwing Mk103 30mm cannon pods designed for the R3 anti-tank conversion set. Two styles of centerline drop tank rack are included, as wel as a nicely-done pilot figure. Decals are included for 3 aircraft, Josef Priller’s Schwarz 13, Heinz Bar’s Rot 13, and an A-8/r-3 assigned to JG26. A lot of kit for the money!
