At the beginning of the 1930s, an idea appeared of a high-speed bomber that could outstrip contemporary fighters. One of the objectifications of this idea became the twin-engine bomber Ju 88, designed by the German Junkers Flugzeug und Motorwerken AG company.
Since the spring of 1941, the Ju 88 A-4 with liquid-cooled Jumo 211J engines were produced with increased power and armaments. The long-range reconnaissance version, based on the Ju 88 A-4, was designated Ju 88D-1.
This kit will be approximately 30cm long with a wingspan of 41.8cm when completed.
