This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
After almost forcing us to buy more shelving to stock their recent flood of 1/32 and 1/24 releases, Trumpeter returns to 1/48 with a MiG-19S. This kit is molded in a soft, light gray plastic, with detailed cockpit, wheel wells and speed brake bays. Photo film provides the instruments for the main panel. Some cutting is required on this kit to fit the wing guns, and optional guns are included to model either a MiG-19S or Chinese F-6. Pay attention to the instructions, and be careful as the paint guides show a MiG-19 in F-6 markings! Speaking of markings, three types are included: a Chinese silver F-6, a silver Soviet MiG-19S, and a blue/gold DDR (East German) Aerobatic Team MiG.
