High quality, fully painted and mostly assembled 1/72 scale die-cast model of the British Aircraft Corporation’s ill-fated TSR-2. The TSR-2 was a Cold War aircraft designed to fly at low altitudes and high speeds, avoiding defenses to drop precision bombs. Model number XR219 was the only prototype to fly in 1964. This model is part of a limited edition series with only 4,500 being produced. It includes landing gear and a stand so it can be displayed on the ground or ‘in flight’. Also, included is a data card bearing the statistics of the aircraft, its history, and certifying which of the 4,500 this piece is.
