One of the most prestigious air races of its day, the MacRobertson England to Australia air race of 1934 was contested by three BH.88 Comet aircraft, with ‘Black Magic’ G-ACSP being the first to take off. Unfortunately, engine problems curtailed its involvement while its sister machine, Grosvenor House, won the race. G-ACSR also suffered reliability issues during the race, but its high speed still enabled it to finish in fourth position.
Completed model measures 122mm long and 186mm wide.
