This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
This kit from Mikro Mir is a completely new mold! The De Havilland DH108 Swallow is a tailless test aircraft with a swept wing and a vertical stabilizer, built in the United Kingdom on the De Havilland Vampire fuselage for high-speed flight and studies of swept-wing characteristics. It was equipped with the De Havilland Goblin centrifugal turbojet engine, and reached speeds past the speed of sound after overcoming accidents such as the deaths of multiple test pilots during test flights. The Unit 1 TG283, which was created to rest maneuverability at low speeds, and the Unit 2 TG306, which attached a spin parachute to the wingtip of Unit 1, made their maiden flights in 1946 and 1947 respectively. The third unit, known as VW120, which had its engine strengthened, made its maiden flight and broke the speed of sound in 1948. The DH108 continued test flights to study subsonic-to-transonic flight until 1950, but all three were lost in an accident.
This model kit comes with two types of canopies, main wingtip parts, and painting mask stickers to reproduce the decals of Unit 1 TG283 and Unit 2 TG306. Order yours today!
