The F-35A Lightning II is the latest fifth-generation jet fighter to enter the global arena. The F-35A’s manufacturer claims its overall air-to-air performance is 400 percent more effective than the previous generation of fighters. They were first ordered for the Royal Australian Air Force in 2009. The RAAF received its first two operational F-35As in 2014; they currently have 70 more on order.
Parts come molded in gray. Includes clear parts and decals. When completed, this model measures about 217.5mm long and has a wing span of about 148mm.
