Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

The Seal is a reconnaissance aircraft designed and manufactured by Fairey of the United Kingdom, and used by the Royal Navy and Fleet Air Arm. Initially, the name was changed to Seal after a production contract was signed under the name of Fairey IIIF Mk.VI. Like the Fairey Gorden, the Seal changed its engine from the IIIF’s water-cooled Napier Lion engine to Armstrong Siddeley’s Panther IIA air-cooled radial 14-cylinder engine; it was used by the British Fleet Air Arm until 1938. Before World War II, the Swordfish was retired from the front line, and the Seal was engaged in patrol missions in the Indian Ocean until the middle of the war.
