The FM-2 was designed by Grumman in 1942 as a lightweight version of the F4F, and is an onboard fighter for escort aircraft carriers produced by General Motors. It was operated by the Royal Navy Air Corps as “Wildcat Mk. VI.” With 4,127 of this aircraft made, it was the most produced of the F4F series of aircraft.
This kit from Arma Hobby includes decals from Tech Mod for two versions. The plastic parts from the “Expert Set” are used in this kit, although photo-etched parts and painting mask seals included with that kit have been eliminated, and the decal options have been reduced in the name of a lower price.
