Description

This is a resin-cast aircraft kit.

A new 1/72 scale full resin kit from Czech Master Resin (CMR) is now available.

The Gloster Gamecock was a British biplane fighter aircraft manufactured by Gloster Aircraft.

Developed from the Gloster Grebe in response to Air Ministry requirements starting in 1924, the Gamecock featured a Bristol Jupiter engine and modified fuselage structure and armament. Although praised for its handling and speed, it had a high accident rate, leading to a short service life with the Royal Air Force.

However, the Gamecock was license-produced in Finland and saw extended use with the Finnish Air Force, including service during the Winter War (1939-1940) against the Soviet Union. In Japan, Nakajima Aircraft used the Gamecock as a basis for the carrier-based Gambet (Type G Carrier Fighter), which won the competition to replace the Type 10 Carrier Fighter and was adopted as the Type 3 Carrier Fighter.

The kit includes:

  • Clear film for the windscreen
  • Decals for 5 RAF marking options
  • Approximate dimensions when completed: length 83 mm, wingspan 126 mm

Cost: $25
