The Martin B-26 Marauder was a twin-engine American medium bomber designed just before the United States entered the Second World War. Suffering a high accident rate during takeoffs and landings, the B-26 quickly earned the nickname of “Widowmaker,” but once crews were better trained on the new type, its performance and reputation in service increased dramatically, and it found widespread and popular service on the Western Front toward the end of the Second World War. In total, just over 5,000 B-26s were produced; many were given colorful nose art, and the aircraft was to be found not just in Europe, but also in North Africa with the RAF and in the Pacific as well.
Will be about 23cm long with a wingspan of 30cm when completed. 146 pieces; decals for 2 versions.
