Sopwith 2F1 Camel “Ship’s Camel” – version of the famous F1 Camel fighter designed for operation from the decks of warships. This Naval version differed from the F1 with a detachable rear fuselage for stowing aboard ship, changed armament and a shorter wingspan. 275 planes of this type were built before the end of the war, the majority of them serving in battleships, cruisers and aircraft carriers. 2F1 pilots achieved many victories, including a few Zeppelins. Apart from the United Kingdom, the 2F1 Camel served with Canada, Latvia and Estonia.
