Description

This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

Academy’s SR-71 features recessed panel lines, decals for the cockpit panels, clear canopies and nicely detailed landing gear and exhausts. Markings are included for 3 SR-71s, one with a large 9th Strategic Recon Wing badge on the tails, one with a large red 1 with yellow lightning bolt on the tails (also from the 9th SRW) and a Kadena based aircraft featuring only a small, white crab on the tails. Some references may be advisable to work out where all the decals go, as the model in the photos on the box has no national insignia, nor are they shown in the decal placement guide, yet they are on the sheet and on the model pictured on the first page of the instructions!
