This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
A new kit of the Ki-106, one of Japan’s last-ditch efforts to field more fighter aircraft as they ran out of raw materials late in the war. If the design looks familiar, it would be bacuse the Ki-106 was an attempt to build a mostly-wood Ki-84 Hayate. First flown in July of 1945, the resulting aircraft was much heavier than the original Ki-84. This kit includes decals for two “what if” aircraft (as the Ki-106 never saw operational use): “182 Shinbu Tai” and “520 Regiment”.
