The Air National Guard is actually a part of the United States mainland defense as part of the Federal Air Force, with a large number of interceptors being transferred from the Air Force and recently receiving new aircraft.
This kit comes with decals for two Michigan Air Force 171st FIS (171st Fleet Air Force) and Oregon Air Force 142nd FIG (142nd Fleet Air Force) “MiG Killer” markings from the Vietnam War era.
