This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

The VVA-14 is an aircraft that was researched and developed as an amphibious aircraft capable of vertical takeoff and landing in the Soviet Union in the 1970s. It was designed to be capable of vertical takeoff from both water and land, and to fly at high altitudes like a normal aircraft, or to glide over the surface of the sea due to the ground effect. The VVA-14 was designed by Italian asylum engineer Roberto Bartini in response to the U.S. Navy’s introduction of Polaris missiles on submarines for nuclear deterrence. VVA is an acronym for Vertikalno-Vzletayushchaya Amfibia, which translates to “vertical takeoff amphibious aircraft,” and the initial plan was to test-bed the VVA-14M1, WIG (Wing-In-Ground-effect) aircraft VVA-14M2, and anti-submarine armament. Three types of VVA-14M3, a VTOL machine with enhanced VTOL, were planned. The VVA-145M1P extends the fuselage of the VVA-14M1 by about three meters, and has been modified to the M2 specifications, such as adding a starting engine to send compressed air to the lower surface of the inner wing between the center fuselage and the side fuselage to obtain a lift effect. In addition, the float was changed from an inflatable type to a fixed type.

This model kit has a three-dimensional VVA-14M1P type with an extended body part, adding newly molded parts, a starting engine, and a fixed float. Decals for one version are included, as is a painting mask sticker. Place your order today!
